Seip remote controlled door operators include a
cable operated emergency door-release device to enable the door to be
opened and closed by hand in case of power
failure, this release mechanism can be operated from inside the garage by
simply pulling the manual release cable towards you (like a bow string) and opening the door
manually by pushing it
outwards from the bottom.
Opening the door from outside
in the event of power failure
If your garage has no alternative access door the manual release cable on
the Seip electric operator may be connected to
the original locking door handle to enable the door to be released from
outside with the key. (this is an essential requirement if you have a 'vault
type' garage with no alternative access door)

Note: most other makes of garage door operator require an additional lock
to be fitted in the door to enable it to be opened manually from outside,
these locks are unsightly, very fiddly to use and can result in reduced
security.

Additional Security
If our optional
Securi-Dor automatic multi-point locking system is installed,
the Seip manual release device will also unlock the additional side latches. |
