Seip remote controlled door operators include a cable operated emergency door-release device to enable the door to be opened and closed by hand in case of power failure, this release mechanism can be operated from inside the garage by simply pulling a manual release cable and opening the door by pushing it outwards from the bottom. Opening the door from outside in the event of power failure The manual release cable on your Seip electric operator may be connected to the original locking door handle to enable the door to be released from outside with the key. (this is an essential requirement if you have a 'vault type' garage with no alternative access door) Click images to enlarge

Additional Security If our optional Securi-Dor automatic multi-point locking system is installed, the Seip manual release device will also unlock the additional side latches. |
